چکیده

The problem of integrated production and maintenance control unreliable manufacturing systems evolving in a stochastic dynamic environment is studied this paper. considered system subject to degradation the produced products are perishable with random shelf-lives. literature operations management for reports correlation between shelf-life product machine degradation. In fact, latter results shelf-lives reduction. Ignoring effect may result inaccurate values inefficient policies. objective paper develop joint policy that minimizes total cost composed backlog, inventory holding, disposal, costs. proposed parametrized combines multi hedging point an age-based preventive policy. optimization parameters obtained using simulation-based approach sensitivity analyses provided confirm its robustness. show reduction has major influence on interventions can lead increasing minimizing cost. then compared three other polices wide range data. outperforms terms incurred

Determination of optimum of production rate of network failure prone manufacturing systems with perishable items using discrete event simulation and Taguchi design of experiment

This paper, considers Network Failure Manufacturing System (NFPMS) and production control policy of unreliable multi-machines, multi-products with perishable items. The production control policy is based on the Hedging Point Policy (HPP). The important point in the simulation of this system is assumed that the customers who receive perishable item are placed in priority queue of the customers w...

A new approach in graph- based integrated production and distribution scheduling for perishable products

This study is concerned with how the quality of perishable products can be improved by shortening the time interval between production and distribution. As special types of food such as dairy products decay fast, the integration of production and distribution scheduling (IPDS) is investigated. An integrated scheduling of both processes improves the performance and costs because the separated sc...

Optimizing production and imperfect preventive maintenance planning's integration in failure-prone manufacturing systems

This paper investigates the issue of integrating production and maintenance planning in a failure-prone manufacturing system. It is assumed that the system's operating state is stochastically predictable, in terms of its operating age, and that it can accordingly be preventively maintained during preplanned periods. Preventive maintenance is assumed to be imperfect, that is when performed, it b...

Optimal pricing policies for perishable products

In many industrial settings, managers face the problem of establishing a pricing policy that maximizes the revenue from selling a given inventory of items by a fixed deadline, with the full inventory of items being available for sale from the beginning of the selling period. This problem arises in a variety of industries, including the sale of fashion garments, flight seats, and hotel rooms. We...
